How to log in or reset your password

Quick fix — most login problems take 30 seconds

If you can't log in, try these three things first. 9 out of 10 login issues are solved by one of them.

1. Reset your password. Go to https://ww1.shiftnote.com/Login/forgotpassword - The reset link arrives within 60 seconds.

2. Check your spam folder. Reset emails come from no-reply@shiftnote.com  Email systems sometimes route these to spam — especially the first time you receive one. Look there if you don't see it in your inbox.

3. Confirm you're using the right email. The email you log in with is whatever email your Company Admin originally registered for you — which may not be your personal email or current work email. If you started at a new company and your old account was set up under a previous email, that's what you need to use. Ask your manager or Company Admin which email is registered to your account if you're not sure.

If one of those worked: you're done. Welcome back.

"My password isn't working"

  • Caps Lock check. Passwords are case-sensitive.
  • Browser autofill. Your browser may be saving an old password. Clear the saved ShiftForce password and type the new one manually.
  • Recent password change. If you or an admin recently changed your password, your password manager or browser may be holding onto the old one.
  • Accidental space. Copy-pasting can sometimes add a trailing space. Try typing it manually.
  • Try a different browser. If you're on Firefox or an older version of any browser, try Chrome, Edge, or Safari.
  • Just reset it. If you've tried more than 3 times, stop guessing and click Forgot Password. Faster than troubleshooting.
